Blog #6
In these two advertisements there is actually a lot going on. They are both advertising cars but in very different ways. In the first ad it displays the car as being jet-like. It is on a runway with the doors open portraying wings on a plane. This ad would appeal to a younger more vibrant audience. It wants to come across as being fast and fashionable. The slogan also refers to the car as being "born from jets." The second ad is more of a family style vehicle and it prides itself on being green, more echo friendly. They use Kermit the Frog in the advertisement. Maybe because he is one of natures creatures or maybe because the audience they are trying to persuade grew up watching Kermit on the Muppet Show. I also feel by Ford using Kermit it could attracted the attention of children which there again would recommend it being a family car.
